My "Jackers" is 2 on Thursday!!! (he's my awesome nephew:) I had so much fun today just hanging out with Jack and watching him run! He was a real trooper because I had him standing in some weird places, none of which seemed to be very fun! I put dad AND mom to work too! (I can totally do that, they are family!) We pulled out all the stops, I even had a squeaky toy to get his attention! It was nice seeing just Jack without Lawson. I am pretty sure Jack thinks Lawson is insane, so he was the shining star on this day!
So here is a few from our session today. It is sooo hard to pick my favorites, so you should head on over to www.melissalattaphotography.com and see the rest:)
"Issa" loves you, Jack Jack!!! And I am pretty sad you are two years old. If you could stop growing, that would rock, thanks:)

Addison Turns 3!!
Addison will be 3 in just a few short weeks!!! I can't believe it! She is so tall, funny, and full of curls!! (Not to mention beautiful!) Addison's mom, Heather, and I went to college together at MTSU, so I have watched Addison grow up. And let me tell you, this girl has always known just what she wants and when she wants it!
I had so much fun today with that cute little family of three:) Addison did everything we asked her to, even if she thought we were pretty much crazy. She even got to play in the water of a creek! And at the end, Dad let us play with his newly signed Chipper Jones bat! Thank you so much to all 3 of you for letting me take pictures of your sweet girl! Can't wait for the party! (I mean, Lawson can't:)

Lots of New Awesomeness!
I have been in the process of changing some things around in the business and getting things up and moving in the past few months. Today, I am going to be introducing just some of the changes going on around here!
"The Roots" - our new baby program! Let's be honest, our family story starts on our wedding day, but I feel like our ROOTS begin the day we have our children. This is the meaning behind the name of this program! I am so excited about this one! Now, what do you get?
5 SESSIONS: newborn, 3, 6, 9, and 12 month sessions. With each session you will receive a CD with 50 edited images. At the end of all 5 sessions, you will have a $50 product credit to spend on whatever you would like! (ie - albums, prints, canvas, etc...) OH, and I totally forgot to mention that for every referral, you will receive a $25 credit on either packages or products for every booked session! (HOW GREAT IS THAT?!?!)
"Project Graduation" - Senior Program! WHOO! Your child is graduating!! You should celebrate! AND, you should give your family something to remember this important occasion. Not just the traditional stuffy pictures that everyone always gets, you deserve something different! You all (and you KNOW it was a group effort!) have worked for 13 years to get to this day, DO IT RIGHT! What do you get?
On location photography (we can work together to find just the right spot.), CD with 50 edited images, 50 wallets, and teenagers work well with "what's in it for me's" so, for every referral, your teenager will get a $25 gift card to places that cater to each senior:) Yep, that pretty much rocks!!!
Well, I hope that this excites you just as much as it does me! Please contact me with questions and/or booking information!

Baby Farah
I am lucky enough to know some wonderful photographers that are willing to be open and honest about their businesses. There are some people who see newer photographers as "stepping on their toes" but thank goodness they are not all like that!
The wonderful Jen Turner with Jen Turner Photography let me tag along on her newborn shoot last weekend just so I could get a few more pointers. Boy am I glad I did! Baby Farah was the perfect little model! I just sat back and watched Jen do her thing, but she let me play with my newest lens, (my newest love:) and take some shots with her. I could not have been happier with the outcome!
Here are some of my favorite shots from the day! Thanks so much Jen for letting me tag along! I had a blast!

Shelton Family
I was super excited to spend the afternoon with Brittnye, Jared, and Carter...but if I'm being honest, I was the most excited about spending it with Carter! My son Lawson and Carter have been best buds their whole lives, so I know Carter is a trip. All it took was for me to make one funny noise and I had him rolling! I couldn't help but crack up with him! Of course, I love Britt and Jared too, but Carter is my favorite:) He pretty much thinks I'm crazy, this worked to my benefit when I was trying to get him to smile. I can't wait to hang out with this family again! (for pictures and play dates!)
Here are a few of my favorites:

Norah Elizabeth - Newborn
A few weeks ago I got to spend some quality time with Norah Elizabeth. She is so sweet and gave me a chance to snuggle her! Norah is also very strong willed! She was so wide awake 90% of the time we were taking pictures! I mean, we waited her out...and waited...and just when we thought she was out, she would be wide eyed and bushy tailed! But I had so much fun getting to spend a fun afternoon with this sweet girl! I can't wait to take her 3 month pictures!

The Huffaman Family
I was able to enjoy a session with the Huffman family a few weeks ago! Life has been so crazy with life that I haven't been able to stop long enough to blog about it! It was so much fun! I know Kristin because she photographed a wedding I was in, so (no pressure:) she asked me to take her family photos! Avery was a bundle of energy! I only wish I could have half as much energy as he does! Since his mom is a photographer, you could only imagine that he was not all about someone ELSE taking his pictures! I was just trying to get as many family pictures as possible with Avery actually sitting for them! I was worried, but I ended up with some great shots from the day! They were so much fun and I am so lucky to have been able to give them family pictures! Here are a few of my favorites:
