Amanda and Jason Tied the Knot!

Just a few weeks ago I took Amanda and Jason's engagement pictures and saw then how much they loved each other. Friday, April 8, 2011 - Amanda and Jason made things official. It was just the 2 of them and the minister at Ellington Agricultural Center. It might have been one of the best weddings I have ever attended. There was no fuss over hair and makeup, there was no wondering if the groomsman were going to be on time, there was no family drama. It was sweet, simple, and full of love. The minister said the sweetest words about Amanda's son Wyatt and that they were making a family whole for him. I was honored they allowed me to be a part of their day and I wish nothing but the best for them!

Here is a sample from their beautiful day!

Jack's One Year Pictures!

Are all of you tired of pictures of my family? SORRY! :) Today I took Jack's 1 year pictures. He was not in the best mood because we took them so late in the day, but once we got started, he was great!! There should have been a video of all of us trying to get Jack to smile and look at the camera! There were things put on my head and people sitting on me! It was very interesting!
As you know if you have been following my blog, his birthday theme was trains, so we had to find train tracks! I would normally have a fat cupcake waiting at the end of the session, but Jack is not a fan so I thought I would try watermelon...BUT HE DOESN'T LIKE THAT EITHER! HAHA. Josh and I are the picky ones of the family, but Jack has decided he wanted to join us! I was super excited about the way these turned out!
Here is a sample!

My Jack Turned One!!!

This past week my nephew, Jack, turned one! This year has gone by so fast! I have watched Jack grow up so much and become a little boy that I love dearly! Lawson and Jack have interesting conversations that the rest of us are not privileged enough to take part in. They can now both walk and play and it is so sweet!
Anyway, his birthday party was done in trains and it was so cute! My sister in law did a great job with the decor! Jack did a great job at his party and was a trooper all day! Here are just a few of my favorite pictures from the day! Happy first birthday, Jack! Uncle Josh, Aunt Melissa, and Lawson love you so much! :)

She makes me want to have another baby...(but then I remember being pregnant :)Nathan was a trooper and ALMOST let me take whatever picture I wanted! Avery Mae Paul is due in April and we have been waiting to take April's pictures until the nursery was done. It looks so great! Anyway, here are just a few of my favorites!

Erin and Craig Engagement

My amazing (I know, I use it all the time!:) neighbor's daughter is getting married next may and they asked me to photograph their big day! I am so glad I get to be a part of this milestone in their lives! Erin and Craig were so much fun! We spent the afternoon in Cannonsburgh in Murfreesboro and just snapped away! I had a very hard time choosing what all I wanted to keep from this session because it went so well! They had a blast too; they called it "a celebration of their love." Every time they do anything for their relationship they call it that! (How adorable is that?!) We got so many good shots considering the wind was going crazy, the sun was too bright, and Erin could not stop laughing! But I will say, that is the way I want it! You have to be able to laugh at yourself. Anyway, here are a few of my favorites...I had a really hard time choosing just so you know!

3 Generations

A few days ago my friend, Deysi asked if I could photograph her family. The day we were supposed to do it, her daughter, Annabelle, was not feeling well, so we decided to do a 3 generations shoot. It was so much fun! We went to the Polk gardens in Columbia and a church right next to it. Annabelle has such an imagination! As soon as we started walking into the gardens, she said, "Here, let me show you where I live! This is my house and my garden where I work." So funny! She was all over the place, (as any good 3 year old should be!) and Deysi and her mom were so great with it all! I got some funny pictures of Deysi bargaining with Annabelle that might have been the best "story" shots. Anyway, here are a few of my favorites :

Amanda and Jason

I met Amanda through a mutual friend and I had no idea when we met she lived so close to me! She is a great hair dresser in Eagleville and you should totally check her out! Not to mention her prices are great too! You can also find her at All About You Salon and Day Spa.

Ok, moving on...I found myself obsessed with Amanda's ring! It is so pretty! She lives in Eagleville, but she also has a rental property with a great barn and awesome views. I had so much fun with these two and I loved meeting Jason! He really did not want me to take his picture, but he was a trooper!
